Luxury cars own the roads in Beverly Hills, and it’s been that way since the community became synonymous with wealth. As a result, automotive dealers in the area have seen a number of trends. Although brand names like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, BMW, and Audi still rule, customers want an increasing amount of personalization in the design of their vehicles.
Top performance on the road and the track matter, but according to Overfinch Executive Chairman Kevin Sloane, the company has seen continued demand for European brands in Beverly Hills.
“Our clients want standout vehicles, over-and-above the standard factory specifications,” Sloane said. “The focus is very much on visual appearance and on-road presence, but they also want the process of commissioning and taking delivery of a car to be as convenient as possible.”
Sloane added that customers request carbon fiber, woods, custom coloring, and bespoke badging to form their perfect rides.
“There is a universal trend toward customization and a significant shift away from performance toward aesthetic and personalized upgrades,” Sloane said. “Customers generally know what they want, so service and convenience are key.”
For almost 40 years, O’Gara Coach of Beverly Hills has carried the largest stock in the Western Hemisphere of Aston Martin, Bugati, Maserati, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, and Bentley. With O’Gara, customers also will have the opportunity to craft their vehicles with customizing options that can include the options to choose color schemes of the interior, trim, and roof. Made-to-order configuration means more than pattern trim and stitching. Aston Martin works alongside aficionados who seek to actualize their dream cars.
At Lamborghini Beverly Hills, along with other O’Gara Coach Companies, experts have full, unique access to a private track at The Thermal Club so that their clients can experience the full potential of their sports cars.
BMW of Beverly Hills, which is one of the largest BMW retailers in the United States, also leads in customer service and an extensive inventory of automobiles to meet clients’ standards.
In keeping with the high-end car culture in Beverly Hills, Audi Beverly Hills is the largest Audi dealership in the United States. The dealership has been open for only five years, but they have benefitted from the company’s No. 1 ranking in Consumer Reports and in the J.D. Power Customer Service Index.
Even if you don’t own one of these premium vehicles, Beverly Hills supplies several opportunities for car enthusiasts to enjoy them. For those who want to show
off their vehicles or survey others’, the Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance is scheduled in May. Attendees gain access to more than 150 automobiles, all manufactured before 1974. The show also includes rare motorcycles. Many of these have been rarely – if ever – seen by the public.
Guests of the Greystone Mansion Concours d’Elegance can also view the first and second floors of the he Doheny Greystone Mansion, which was used for the filming of scenes from There Will Be Blood and Spider-Man, as well as several television shows and commercials. Attendance at the exclusive event is limited to 3,000.
If one impressive exhibition of exclusive vehicles isn’t enough for the season, the annual Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance gives residents and tourists alike a special way to celebrate Father’s Day in June. As the largest public event in Beverly Hills, the Concours d’Elegance serves as a platform for major product launches and announcements from automotive retailers and frequently features rare automobiles as cultural artifacts, such as the 1966 TV Batmobile. The collection of exotic cars includes the classics and the most recent innovations in auto design. According to top travel guide publisher Frommer’s, the car show is a must-see event. In addition, it is free and open to the public.
There’s an easy elegance on Beverly Hills roads, and whether you are a luxury car owner or simply an auto enthusiast, there is plenty to get excited about in a community with a car culture that embraces unique designs and top performance.
Beverly Hills is a small city with plenty of big city excitement to see and do, especially at night.
The nights shine brightly in Beverly Hills and there is no shortage of after hours entertainment. Whether your taste is for culture or cocktails, there are plenty of options sure to entertain.
Outstanding dining experiences are at the core of Beverly Hills’ after-hours scene. A culinary renaissance created by master chefs like Giacomino Drago (Il Pastaio and Villa Alloro), Wolfgang Puck (Spago and CUT), Thomas Keller (Bouchon Bistro) and Curtis Stone (Maude) has taken Beverly Hills by storm and turned this once sleepy town into a go-to hot spot that rocks into the wee hours of the morning.
Aided by enlightened leadership from city government, formerly quiet streets like Canon Drive and South Beverly Drive have become four-star foodie destinations, featuring a European ambience including sidewalk dining reminiscent of the Champs Elyse or the Via Veneto, and with ample parking!
One of the most recent additions to the dining options is a Boston tradition, The Upper Crust Pizzeria, which opened earlier this year at 243S.BeverlyDrive.You always get the freshest local ingredients whenever possible to create some of Upper Crust’s famous pies — from the North Sider to the Fenway. Embracing the community, Upper Crust has reached out to the fire department to keep the firefighters well fed, and has offered everyone reasons to stop in.
For Upper Crust, having the right location is also important. Award-winning architectural spaces include open kitchens, pizza pan-decorated ceilings and high-definition flat screens, all adding up to deliver a truly unique experience that can only be described as Upper Crust.
If you want to be entertained with your meal, there are plenty of places to go, from Ocean Prime’s live music on their terrace Thursday – Saturday to DJs at the Sidebar and Mastro’s Steakhouse or various performers live at The Stinking Rose on Friday nights.
Wally’s Beverly Hills transforms the combination of food, wines and spirits to an entirely new dimension. Special tastings and events are a hallmark of Wally’s, with three of them now fixtures on the schedule of the Southern California wine community. The Union des Grands Crus Bordeaux Tasting each January, Napa/Sonoma All-Stars Tasting in April and the elegant Grand Marque Champagne Tasting in June.
Or you can get your fill of sushi and wagyu beef at Shiki Beverly Hills.
Known as a shopping and dining destination, Beverly Hills is coming into its own as a vibrant and unique cultural destination. There is the Saban Theatre, which offers everything from special speakers to rock music, the Laemmle Music Hall, and more.
The City’s classic old post office building has taken on a new life after being transformed into the fabulous Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. “The Wallis” has cast its spell over Beverly Hills by bringing back the vibrant excitement of live theater featuring glittering stars, international companies, the best in modern dance, children’s theater and chamber opera, as well as musical guests from soloists to orchestras.
This Beverly Hills landmark is a world-class example of creative reuse. It shows an architectural treasure can be preserved and given an entirely new life when it is combined with the best in modern design— from its classic lobby to the lavish, intimate nature of its auditorium.
The prime architectural features of the Post Office (which is designated as an historic landmark) have been immaculately restored, while the former mail sorting area has been trans- formed into a flexible 150-seat Studio Theater.
“Even in 2008-2009, when the real estate market was down everywhere else, Beverly Hills Realtors were still able to keep their heads above water,” he says.
The economy is still very strong in the area, and despite mortgage rates remaining low, Black says he still gets plenty of cash offers.
McGurk provides a premier marketing service to his clients, giving them a wide range of information on real estate trends and movement, whether it’s over the past year or the previous week. “I want to provide my clients with enough information so they’re not putting too much on the table or leaving too much money on the table,” he says.
A quick look shows the average time on the market was 150 days in early 2016 and the highest priced property to sell in the previous six months was one in The Flats, which went for $20 million, McGurk says. ‘it’s a solid market.”
“The market is still optimistic,” Black says. “It is a bright future for us.”
While sales between $6 million and $12 million are the most active, Black says there is still a handful of activity in the $20 mil- lion-plus range and Beverly Hills is still an extremely popular destination.
“People really see the value of the Los Angeles and Beverly Hills area,”he says. “Combine phenomenal weather and a great loca- tion, and it’s a recipe that can’t be beat.”
The market includes large and small, rehab or teardown candidates and move-in ready, he adds. “As a rule of thumb, anything that is 20 years or olderisagoodcandidateforateardown,”hesays. “If it’s 10 years or less, it’s a major remodel.”
McGurk adds that the “really big push” is for all the high-end modern conveniences. He recently
had a client who paid $7.8 million for a move-in ready home — with all those conveniences — in The Flats.
Deciding whether to remodel a purchase to fit your personal style or buy a house that’s ready to live in is not the only decision you will need to make. This small community of only 36,000 people has a variety of neighborhoods with their own personalities in which you can settle.
The Flats is the “hot” area, McGurk says. And the “hottest” area of the The Flats is between Santa Monica and Sunset. Why? Because if you cross Santa Monica you can find all the luxury shopping and high-end restaurants you could ever want, whether it is Cartier or Wolfgang Puck’s. On the other side of Sunset, the hills that BeverlyHillsisnamedforstart.
The Flats has a unique history, McGurk explains. Sitting at the foot of the hills, it was designed in the early 1900s when the Beverly Hills Hotel was built. The area was designed in the shape of a tulip. “You can’t see from one end to the next because it’s not in a straight line,” he says. “They landscaped it before they built the homes. They planted palm trees in the middle of Beverly Hills. This is a special place.”
The homes in Trousdale Estates are exquisite and expensive, but it is the views that matter. Homes there cannot exceed a single story, so as you go up the hill nobody’s view is obscured. “They want everyone to have the best view they possibly can,” says McGurk.
While the majority of buyers are domestic, Black says, there is still a lot of international activity, especially from the UK and China, but also Sweden, Canada, France and other countries.
International buyers from key spots such as London, Paris or Hong Kong view the Beverly Hills market as a real deal, says Black. “Key inter- national prices are really driving the prices per square foot,” he says.
Josie Tong with Sotheby’s International Realty agrees. With the average sold price per square foot in The Flats at around $1,300, and even at $1,800- $2,000 for a newly redone home, it is still attrac- tive to overseas buyers, especially compared to Hong Kong, which can run as high at $11,000 a square foot, or Shanghai, at an average of $2,125 per square foot, she says.
That market, however, has been experiencing some difficulties. “We still see a lot of interest from affluent Mainland Chinese buyers, but the government’s tightening of capital outflow has made it harder for many potential buyers to get their money out to complete the transaction,” Tong says. Many multi-national banks have also tightened their lending policies with regards to foreign nationals. As a result, we have seen a delay and sometimes downsizing in the average Chinese buyer’s purchase decisions.”
However, Tong insists that the biggest advantage of Beverly Hills is that it appeals to buyers from all over the world. Why? The list is long, she says…
Beverly Hills may have beautiful views and phenomenal weather, and more, but one of the best things about this community is that it is a close- knit, small-town feel within a stone’s throw of one of the biggest cities in the country, Los Angeles.
“It’s a city within a city,” says McGurk. “It’s a small community with its own life support system.”
Black calls it a “community like no other.” It offers privacy and security that is important to celebrities, international business people and just folks, as well as incredible shopping and dining, some of the world’s best hotels, yet it still has a laid-back ease where everybody knows everybody.
“It’s just a destination that really has it all,” he says. McGurk agrees. “It’s a great place.”
Finding a perfect home in Beverly Hills is no
problem. Picking out just one perfect home may, however, be harder to do. But no matter which property you find, you can be assured that it will be one of your best investments.
Hungry? Thirsty? Feel like dining out or seeking that perfect designer cocktail? Think Beverly Hills. There’s sure to be exactly the right restaurant, menu, wine, beer or cocktail list to fulfill your every desire.
Home to such celebrity chefs and restaurateurs as Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller, Nobu Matsuhisa, Thomas Bellec, Curtis Stone, Giacomino and Tanino Drago, Beverly Hills is the ideal culinary destination.
With its international recognition, strong civic support, ideal business environment, actively involved Chamber of Commerce, and discerning clientele, it’s not surprising that the dining scene in Beverly Hills is one of the best in the world, or that name establishments like Lawry’s the Prime Rib, California Pizza Kitchen and Spago all decided to first open their doors in Beverly Hills.
Pick your style— elegant to laid back.
For that perfect combination of elegance and cuisine, Beverly Hills offers a variety of 5-star hotel dining rooms to chose from led by its flagship establishment— the century old Beverly Hills Hotel and its renowned Polo Lounge.
There’s the hip European vibe of Canon Drive with its sidewalk eateries, the Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center and the new dining concept Avec Nous, taking over the signature restaurant of the Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills.
There’s the laid-back vibe of South Beverly Drive where fast food and fine food exist side by side, making it the perfect go-to spot for a mid-day to midnight get together.
And then there’s La Cienega Boulevard’s “Restaurant Row.” La Cienega has been a culinary desti- nation since 1938, the year its landmark restaurant— Lawry’s the Prime Rib— opened its doors and began serving its signature dishes.
There are so many menus to choose from in Beverly Hills, whether you’re in the mood for farm-to-table California cuisine, Northern or traditional Italian, classic French, Spanish tapas, spicy Thai, chili-rich Mexican, Mandarin or Hong Kong Chinese, meaty Brazilian, curry-rich Indian, Austrian schnitzel, native Venezuelan, pho from Vietnam, fresh seafood or that perfectly prepared slice (or chop) of USDA prime beef.
Beverly Hills also offers the perfect libation to accompany your culinary experience— from the most aromatic cabernet or buttery chardonnay, to craft brewery specials on tap and any cocktail you can imagine— Old-Fashioned anyone?
An exciting new event showcases the Beverly Hills dining scene. During the spring, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Com- merce in partnership with the City of Beverly Hills presents Beverly Hills Culinary Week, featuring more then 50 restau- rants, hotels and retail stores within the 5.5 square miles of Beverly Hills. Originality reigns as each eatery creates its own special dining experience including exclusive chef-created dishes, original beverages and thematic prix fixe menus. There arespecialchef’stables, cookingdemonstrationsandclasses, wine and spirit tastings and restaurateur greetings. You might find your martini shaken (not stirred) by Sly Stallone!
To accentuate Culinary Week, many of Beverly Hill’s fine retail stores remain open to accommodate evening diners and offer their own culinary related specials.
“Last year when we launched Culinary Week, 22 restaurants on Canon Drive and La Cienega Boulevard participated,” recalls Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Todd Johnson. “After the success of that first event, more and more restaurants and chefs wanted to be included. Our goal this year was to have more than 50 participating restaurants, from pizza parlors to 5-star hotels.” Variety was the key.
“We have so many different types of restaurants here in Beverly Hills including many big-name chefs,” points out John Bendheim, former Chairman of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “We think Culi- nary Week is a world-class event in the making!”
The point is it’s time to make plans to visit Beverly Hills. Your table is ready.
Raised in coastal Concarneau in Brittany, France, Thomas Bellec was inspired to cook by his grand- parents, who ran a renowned bakery in Brittany. His desire to go professional was his own, however: “I always wanted to play with food and please people” – a recipe for restaurant success if ever there was one.Trained in the classical tradition at a Michelin one-star in his hometown, he worked at a few addresses before joining FOUR SEASONS as Chef de Cuisine in Toronto. He made four more stops with the company en route to Beverly Hills, including Carmelo, Lana’i, Boston, and Toronto again.
Curtis Stone studied for a Bachelor of Business before deciding to pursue a career as a chef. He worked at some top Australian restaurants before leaving to work at various restaurants in London. In Australia, he debuted his cooking career at age 18 at the Savoy Hotel. Upon completing his qualifications as a chef, Stone began cooking in London under Marco Pierre White at the Café Royal and Mirabelle, and quickly went on to become head chef at White’s Quo Vadis. On 1 February 2014, Stone opened his first restaurant, MAUDE, here in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills is one of the most desirable places to live, work and play. It’s a truly special place where the finest is a way of life. But it is also a bustling center of commerce and an engaged community where social responsibility in the form of philanthropy at every level plays a central role. Giving back is a way of life in this luxury oasis.
For example, it’s the last Friday of the month— Casual Friday with a difference at the Beverly Hills law firm of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP. Phones are ringing. People are scurrying from meeting to meeting. Except for the laid-back attire it’s business as usual. The difference is that today ALL the members of the staff who have chosen to wear jeans will voluntarily make a $5 donation to the office’s chosen charity of the month.
“It was their idea,” says attorney at law (and Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman), Kelly O. Scott proudly. “They found it’s a simple form of group involvement that rebounds in a way that enriches the firm. It raises morale and creates a better working environment.”
Whether it’s a Casual Friday donation of $5, individuals pitching in to volunteer their time, or a donation in the millions of dollars, philanthropy plays an important role for the people, businesses and corporations that make up the dynamically diverse community of Beverly Hills.
“One of the first things I discovered about Beverly Hills when I came here more than 28 years ago,” Scott recalls, “and which came as a surprise, is that Beverly Hills really is a community— a very close- knit community. It’s filled with engaged individuals and companies that are concerned about a wide range of causes from local to international, from the restoration of our famous electric fountain (at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard) to cancer research. We also have a world-class Chamber of Commerce that promotes causes and programs that bring people together.”
Inaperfectworld,”Scott observes,“the better off a community is the more philanthropic it should be. If you can afford to give, you certainly should. There are always people that are left behind. There are always situations that can be improved. There are local causes that need to be addressed, whether it’s education and parks, historic preservation and the arts, safety on our streets, water usage or the quality of life.”
“There are many philanthropic organizations that are based here and hold their events here,” Scott points out. “But their impact reaches well beyond the boundaries of Beverly Hills, to the greater Los Angeles community and beyond.”
The desire (and responsibility) to give back philanthropically, says John Bendheim, President of Bendheim Enterprises, is a tradition that often starts at home.
“The importance of giving back was a tradition that was passed on to me by my father,” he recalls. “As a kid I would hear my father on the phone raising money. He would be calling my friend’s parents and soliciting money. I would cringe,” he adds with a laugh. “I thought it was the most embarrassing thing I ever heard of. But as I grew older and saw how much his efforts helped the community, I wanted toemulatehim.”
There is, however, a perceptual issue surround- ing philanthropic activity, Bendheim points out, that needs to be addressed.
“We need to change the perception that philan- thropy is only for older people,” he says. “There is a consensus of opinion within the community that we need to engage young people and get them involved. If you can get them involved when they’re younger, and they begin to see and feel the benefits that come from giving back, they’ll be hooked. It can be by giving of their time or making a donation as small as $5. Once they have that pleasurable experience, their commitment will continue.”
Over the past 20 years, there has been a significant shift in the business community of Beverly Hills that has dramatically changed (and enhanced) the philanthropic picture.
“Today there are many more corporations that are taking an active part in the community and lending their financial support to a wide range of causes. We’ve also seen the arrival of so many tech industries. They’re providing a new dynamic component in the realm of philanthropy. We’re also seeing a new consciousness in philanthropy (and investing) that specially targets companies with a greener more sustainable agenda. There has also been a serious initiative to support the arts in Beverly Hills, specifically the creation of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.”
Designed by architect Zoltan Pali, the project evolved out of a need to fill a cultural void in the city. The goal was to convert the city’s historic 1933 post office into a unique theater complex. And as momentum for the project grew, the creation of a new performing arts center of Beverly Hills focused on philanthropic giving as no other project had. When its doors opened for the first time on Oct. 17, 2013, Beverly Hills proudly claimed an architecturally stunning performing arts venue where audiences would enjoy world-class theater, dance and music. At the same time, it added luster to the business/restaurant renaissance of Canon Drive, which has evolved into one of the greatest go-to spots in Los Angeles.
Throughout its long history, Beverly Hills has been a place where large businesses and small have worked together and thrived side by side. As the family owners of the Mickey Fine Pharmacy & Grill (433 N. Roxbury Dr.), Jeff and Gina Rafael feel a definite historic connection to Beverly Hills. They also take pride in the way their family-owned business plays a philanthropic role in support of local and international causes, whether it’s providing support for the city’s annual Spring 4-A Cause 5K run, or reaching out on a global scale to garner support for the state of Israel.
“I think Beverly Hills is an amazing philanthropic community,” says Gina with unbridled enthusiasm. “There are so many organizations people feel passionate about and want to find ways to support. The people of Beverly Hills are incredibly generous.”
She also believes in the power of direct involve- ment, particularly as a way to encourage younger people to get involved.
“In all the causes that I have worked with, I’ve found it important to give people, particularly young people, the chance to take on leadership positions,” she emphasizes. “Sure, there are people that just want to give a check, and that’s great. But I’m finding more and more people that want to be actively involved. I take my hat off to the people who are willing to donate their time and do the physical work. Those people are just amazing.”
In every aspect of life words matter and carry meaning. For many members of the millennial generation, the word “philanthropy” is often asso- ciated with an image of the past.
“Philanthropy is incredibly important. It’s a central part of my life and a pillar of our company,” says Jon Gluck, the Co-Founder and President of the fine water producer, Beverly Hills Drink Company, which makes Beverly Hills 90H20, winner of the Beverly Hills Golden Palm Award for Innovation.
At the same time, Gluck, who embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of the millennial generation, feels that the word “philanthropy” does not resonate well with his friends and colleagues.
“I’venoticed,”heobserves,“that there is a perception that the word philanthropy is associated with an older generation. That’s a connotation younger people have built around the word. I’ve found the members of my generation much prefer the word ‘giving.’ It has a more down-to-earth and approachable quality. Yet carries the same essence of helping others.
“There is strong enthusiasm among the members of the young generation for giving back,” Gluck observes. “You’re seeing entire companies and product lines that are centered around important causes. There are now even popularized terms among the movement, such as cause marketing. I can’t tell you how many people I know in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are deeply involved in charitable activities. It’s on-trend. And,” he adds, “it’s the right thing to do.”
As a representative of the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram generation, Gluck says he also sees his generation taking a global view of giving back that looks toward causes that promote a sustainable future for their communities and the planet.
“With the emergence of new technologies and social networking it’s an outlook that is trending toward a new dynamic of giving,” Gluck says.
In addition to financial giving and the donation of personal time, Gluck is also a prime example of giving through in-kind contributions. He is justifiably proud that many premier fund-raising events in Beverly Hills have raised a glass filled with the world-renowned water his company donates.
“The offering of donated product has been a major driver of our work in the community,” says Gluck. “We support all types of causes— from school and civic events to the grand openings of new businesses.”
There are so many ways to give back. The question may be, how to find them?
“There are a number of things people can do to find opportunities,” Gluck explains. “On the civic side, they can simply call up City Hall and ask about opportunities to donate their time or money. In addition, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is a tremendous resource to connect people of all kinds. And you can tap into the wisdom and experience of your own networks by emailing your friends and family or post on Facebook that you’re looking for a cause to get involved with. It’s as simple as just reaching out and watching as opportunities to do good roll in.”

Organizations like AAA T.L.C. Health Care and Sheridan In-Home Care are helping area families who seek the best in care for their aging family members, while Angeles Vista Hospice serves as a caring resource for patients and their families as they face the end of life.
Difficulty finding the best care for her own aging and ailing parents led Jody Sherman to establish AAA T.L.C .Health Care more than 25 years ago. Already a successful businesswoman, Jody took it upon herself to find experienced in-home caregivers with heart. One by one, she built a staff of loyal long-term care employees who enabled her mother and father to live-out the rest of their years in the comfort of their own home.
Impressed with the quality of these remarkable caregivers, physicians and hospital administrators began asking Jody to find home health care aides for their other patients in need of assisted living. And so a business was born.
Jody and her husband, Earl, have staffed the AAA T.L.C. headquarters with RNs, LVNs and social work- ers to facilitate increased understanding of client needs. It’s just another reason why AAA T.L.C. has become the most respected home health care and senior care provider for assisted living in Southern California, including Beverly Hills. Family owned and operated, AAA T.L.C. has more than 5,000 qualified and experienced nurses and caregivers available 24/7 at home, hospitals or facilities.
With a motto, “Where compassion always comes first,” AAA T.L.C. has received many honors and awards. But it is the appreciation of the families they touch that is the most important honor for AAA T.L.C. Founded in 1993, Angeles Vista Hospice was born out of the vision of an exceptional group of people who realized the value of hospice care and wanted it for their families and neighbors. Whether its hospice or palliative care, the patient and family remain together in the comfort and security of their own home, or wherever they may reside, including skilled nursing and long-term care, assisted living and residential care facilities.
Hospice care can be beneficial for patients when a curative treatment is no longer an option or appropriate. Hospice exists to provide not only physical support but also emotional and spiritual assistance at such a critical time.
Like hospice, palliative care is helpful in alleviating pain and providing comfort to those suffering from life-limiting illnesses. The difference is that palliative care is less time restrictive and can last for years. With it, a patient can expect excellent symptom manage- ment, working toward improving functionality, and realistic goal setting.
If you need care after a hospitalization, After- Care Nurses Registry is committed to providing that quality in-home care. While we know that people do better when cared for in the privacy of their own home, but that is not always feasible. So After-Care Nurses Registry was opened to serve the real needs of patients looking for qualified care to help them recover at home.
Each nurse is screened as to competence, knowledge and sensitivity to medical problems in order to ensure that each patient’s personal needs are professionally addressed. Services include registered nurses to give injections, medications and required monitoring; licensed vocational nurses to provide close monitoring and specific medical procedures; certified nurse aides to provide skilled care that does not require medical procedures; attendants to help with personal care such as bathing and dressing; and homemakers who can do housework and prepare meals.
Sometimes seniors simply need some help to be able to stay home and thrive in their own environment. Sheridan In-Home Care can provide the services that can make that possible. Sheridan Care is independently owned and operated by Susan Dost, whose staff of caregivers and personal care managers can do light housekeeping and laundry as well as pro- vide many unique services specific to each family’s needs, including in-home physical therapy, podiatry services, dental care, the service of an executive chef, concierge service, and help obtaining all durable medical supplies.
If it’s not elderly care you need, Nanny Connec- tions ensures the wellness of your baby through their premier nanny services. Since 1998, Nanny Connec- tions has met the needs of the increasing demand for experienced nannies, offering full- and part-time nannies, mother’s helpers, household managers, new- born care specialists and baby nurses. Nannies On Call means families don’t need to worry about occasional or back-up childcare.
Evolve Treatment Centers provides cutting-edge treatment for adolescents struggling with addiction and mental health issues. As you can see, Beverly Hills takes health and wellness seriously, from reducing stress at a spa to end-of-life care, the premier services available are a valuable part of living well.
Whether starting a new business or managing an existing one, “winging-it” isn’t the smartest approach. True, miracles do happen and enterprising entrepreneurs with fantastic ideas do become millionaires overnight – but not often.
In fact, disasters happen just as often – disasters than could be avoided with the counsel of a business attorney. A commercial lawyer will offer proactive planning for the business launch and provide safeguards against the consequences of unexpected future events.
There are many legal issues that need to be addressed when running a business, from legally structuring the company and shielding intellectual property, to creating contracts and steering through employment rules. It’s critical to have a lawyer who can anticipate every possible twist or turn and who knows how to react to each development.
“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail,” noted Benjamin Franklin.
The shrewd first step in establishing a busi- ness is to bring an attorney on board. While it’s a financial strain to hire anyone when forming a business, much less an attorney, the investment will be invaluable. Going it alone can result in missed opportunities, business interruptions, expensive liabilities and the potential for legal action.
In fact, it doesn’t matter how great a business idea is unless it’s protected up front. Forming a company can be a very complicated legal process.
Initially, a business owner will need to determine if the company should be registered as a sole proprietorship, general partnership, LLC, LLP, or corporation. The entity that is best will depend on the company’s ownership, products and services, geographic location, and other factors.
It’s important to understand that laws governing these different business forms vary, especially in areas such as personal liability for business debts and tax obligations. Different business structures provide different protections and risk to the business owner.
When a business is at risk, the owner may be personally liable thus jeopardizing everything he owns. Not only that, if an employee or partner puts a business at risk, the business owner also may be personally liable.
Furthermore, each business form has specific parameters for raising capital and making distributions, and tax advantages and disadvantages differ with each entity.
An attorney can help a business owner decide which type of corporate structure is best for his needs and type of business. Based on the lawyer’s advice, it may be wise to consult an accountant for additional guidance.
Once a business is up and running, there are other precautions to consider. Business owners who want to protect their ownership of the ideas, images, and processes they’ve created will need the services of an attorney.
After all, a business is defined by its brand and the intellectual property that illustrates that brand. These intangible assets include a company’s name, logo, catchphrase, brand names and distinctive goods and services. All are entitled to legal protection.
Intellectual property also includes proprietary designs, discoveries, inventions, processes, symbols, music and other private, business-related information. These assets are what provide a business with its competitive or economic advantage.
Because no company wants to have its secret sauce stolen and copied, an attorney can provide legal protection for exclusive information and products.
Trademark, copyright and patent registrations help a business protect those things that differentiate it from its competition. These safeguards offer important defense against theft. When intellectual property is copied or stolen, a company’s brand is compromised. An attorney can ensure a business owner never faces that issue.
For company owners, contracts are a way of life. Owners will do business with many people: landlords, suppliers, service providers, customers, independent contractors and their own employees. Many of these transactions will require written contracts. An attorney can help with drafting and negotiating contracts that ensure a business will not be put in jeopardy.
Employment contracts can be particularly tricky. Legal protections, liabilities and relationships will vary depending on the working relationship. An employee contract details the terms of employment including pay, benefits and full or part-time status. The employee works for the business detailed in the contract. Today many businesses also hire independent contractors. Because an independent contractor is exactly that – independent and not an employee – the terms of an agreement will be quite different.
Other legal documents include an employee handbook, a confidentiality statement, and non-disclosure and non-compete agreements. A lawyer who knows small business operations will be able to review and negotiate beneficial contracts and employment materials.
When a dispute arises with an employee, former employee, independent contractor, supplier or service provider, an attorney can help with litigation or alternative resolution methods. While a jury trial might be necessary, often another option will work better. Arbitration or mediation with a neutral third party may be recommended, or negotiation between the parties with the assistance of an attorney.
An increasingly sensitive area of concern for small business owners is environmental stability. Issues can arise from manufacturing, waste disposal, emissions, and the development of raw materials. The misuse of cleaning or construction materials within an office area can lead to air quality concerns. Business owners must be aware of and address everything from indoor environmental exposure to the use of hazardous building supplies. At times, a business may not be directly involved, but could still be affected.
The consequences for individuals who violate environmental statutes can be serious. An attorney will be a company owner’s advocate in resolving claims of liability or negligence.
At some point, every business owner must sell, close or pass his business along to partners or family members. It’s best if a succession plan is created early in the life of a business to help prevent potential financial and legal issues and ensure a smooth transition.
Contingencies and plans can be put in place before a sudden issue arises. In addition, owner and business estate plans will ensure the legal distribution of a business in the event of the owner’s death or divorce.
When a business needs to be sold, a number of tax and legal obstacles will need to be addressed, not to mention a list of federal, state and local regulations to consider. Internal and external contracts may need to be negotiated. If buy-back or buy-sell agreements are in place, partners will be able to sell their interest without legal predicaments.
However, this event may come unexpectedly as a result of an accident or death. If a succession plan hasn’t been put in place, the future of the company will be in jeopardy. A business attorney can manage the succession or sale.
The best time to hire an attorney is before one is needed. A qualified business attorney can be a small business owner’s ally in navigating a maze of legal issues. True, retaining an attorney can be costly. Yet, not retaining an attorney can cost a business even more.
Take the time to protect your business from legal vulnerability. You can find the name of a qualified professional in your Chamber directory. Make that call today.
Beverly Hills is known for its incredible shopping, whether on Rodeo Drive or Neiman-Marcus along department store row in the Golden Triangle.
But Beverly Hills is also home to some of the most unique boutiques, high-end European designers and well-known brands.
One of the most recent designers to find a home here is Evelyne Chetrite, founder of Sandro. Known for its sophistication and versatility, this ready-to- wear fashion brand opened at 310 N. Beverly Drive amid fanfare that befits its fashion history.
Founded in Paris in 1984, Sandro has always been distinctly French and feminine — at least until 2008 when Evelyne’s son, Ilan, launched Sandro menswear. Now, Sandro’s more than 240 stores worldwide, offer trendy, casual lines for women and men, as well as accessories, bags and shoes to complement every collection.
Founded in London in 1994 by designers Stuart Trevor and Kait Bolongaro, it began as a menswear line, but expanded to womenswear, footwear and accessories. Its Capital Collection handbag line is the perfect leather complement to its clothing line.
For the finest in tailor-made menswear, there is Art Lewin Bespoke on Charlesville Boulevard off Wilshire. The unique relationship between customers and the tailors at Art Lewin Bespoke is created well before the measurements are taken. Tailors and customers exchange ideas and opinions, while the tailor observes the client’s posture and personality, and learns about his lifestyle and aesthetics.
Bespoke is a full canvas grade clothing, hand-padded and never machine stitched. Each Bespoke item is worked as though it were a single unique piece, with detail that has been passed down from one generation to the next.
Isaia of Beverly Hills combines Neapolitan tailoring tradition with 21st century innovation. The Italian men’s clothing design was founded in the 1920, expanding beyond Naples to Milan, Capri, Moscow, Kiev, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Macau. And it is now in Beverly Hills at 9527 Brighton Way.
The brand’s success has been due to its ability to reinterpret its history with cutting-edge technologies. It was Isaia’s process of industrialization and internationalization that led to distribution of its products around the world.
Of course, no tailor-made suit would be complete without the perfect watch. IWC Beverly Hills, at its new location at 329 N. Rodeo Drive, is just the place to find it.
To commemorate the opening of the Beverly Hills flagship boutique, IWC created The Big Pilot’s Watch Edition, “Boutique Rodeo Drive.” The piece, limited to only 250 copies, is furnished in ceramic and titanium with stunning blue dial combing, the classic functionality of the traditional Pilot’s Watch with state-of-the-art technology, materials and design.
Looking your best is easy in Beverly HIlls. For the perfect hairstyle, visit Drybar where you can’t get a haircut or color, but you can count on a perfect blowout, served with a complimentary glass of wine! Drybar has locations around the country, including one at 452 N. Canon in Beverly Hills.
Or get a hair extension or change your hair color at Udi Salon at 255 S. Robertson Boulevard. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere, Udi will help you find the stunning new look you want.
If you need some makeup to complete your look, stop by Bobbe Joy Makeup Studio at 350 N. Bedford Drive. Believing that makeup must be truly wearable, Bobbe custom-blends orig- inal lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations, blushes and other essentials. Her contemporary line of products allows women to create a look, which is sophisticated, sensual and polished.
Then you can stop at Maud’s of Beverly Hills where “beautiful eyes create the nicest smile.” Maud’s offers faux mink lash extensions, waxing and nails, to send you out smiling. This shop, which owner Victoria Maud Anne O’Brien likens to the era of Greta Garbo and Clarke Gable, is located at 624 N. Doheny Drive
Extravagant, elegant, luxurious: Overfinch may be a new name in Beverly Hills but it’s one that feels quite at home. For more than four decades, Overfinch has been elevating the world’s premium SUV – the Range Rover – into a bespoke object of desire. Now this world-renowned brand is available for the first time in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.
It takes confidence to remove the manufacturer’s name from a vehicle and replace it with your own. But in the case of Overfinch, whose jewel-like branding adorns the hood of the world’s most sought-after Range Rovers, that confidence is fully justified.
An Overfinch Range Rover has a striking presence even from a distance. The unique, forged wheels, distinctive bodywork and assertive stance will tell you that it’s no ordinary Range Rover, long before you see the jewel-like deep enamel lettering across the bonnet. But to see what’s truly special about an Overfinch Range Rover, you need to get a little closer.
Overfinch exterior styling delivers an eye-catching appearance that remains true to the car’s original design ethos and precisely aligns original components like parking sensors and reversing cameras. It takes time, experience and an obsessive focus upon quality to create a Range Rover that delivers a factory finish with a personal signature. In that achievement, Overfinch stands alone.
The unique looks of an Overfinch is down to the in-house design team. That’s a significant investment and a sign that the company believes in setting its own style. The alloy wheels are unique to Overfinch and branded as such. Body parts are created in hand-laid carbon fibre for strength, durability and light weight. Even finishing touches like exhaust tailpipes are cast and branded with the Overfinch identity to complete the integrated appearance.
“An Overfinch Range Rover is not so much a conversion, more a complete re-imagination
of what a luxury, personalised vehicle can be”.
Overfinch can trace its origins back to 1975 and a company called Schuler. A Range Rover equipped with a Schuler/ FF transfer box and anti-lock brakes won the 1981 Paris- Dakar Rally. The company also developed automatic transmissions, luxurious interiors and even a Chevrolet V8 engine option, finding a ready market among owners looking for a Range Rover with an extra touch of individuality.
The demand for Range Rovers with a little extra power, luxury and style wasn’t lost on the Land Rover factory. Over the years the brand has moved a long way from the original ‘hose clean’ vinyl seating to a higher level of luxury, with ever-more powerful engines. But there will always be those who demand a little more individuality, craftsmanship and luxury than the factory production lines can provide. For those customers, Overfinch is the obvious choice.
“People buy an Overfinch because they want the ultimate Range Rover.”
Whichever model you choose, customers can commission individual interior conversions to suit their specific tastes. Interiors are completely reupholstered, with a range of seat designs and leather options. Choose from traditional diamond quilting or contemporary contrast stitching with micro-piping. Duo-tone colour schemes are popular, from a cool black and ivory to a more extrovert black and red. The leather Overfinch uses is from the respected Scottish tanner Bridge of Weir, and the quality of the craftsmanship is nothing short of sensational. Every surface is a tactile delight; every seam finished to perfection. Even the company’s automated sliding floor space is finished in Bridge of Weir leather and aluminum rather than carpet.
If you want a one-off veneer set with mother of pearl, metal and sand-shading to your own design, it’s yours for the asking. Or if you prefer carbon- fibre, Overfinch offers a kaleidoscope of colour options, from black to bronze, green, orange or red weave.
Special edition vehicles and unique commissions have also seen a rise in the popularity of themed veneers. Overfinch creates one-off marquetry images in veneer to a customer’s brief, reflecting the same level of decorative impact and visual luxury that they would expect at home, in their super yacht or private jet.
“Everything about an Overfinch Range Rover says bespoke British craftsmanship.”
The days when Overfinch would remove the standard Range Rover V8 and replace it with a big-block Chevy are long gone. But you can still enjoy a touch of extra performance. An Overfinch performance exhaust system, together with a remapped ECU, liberates the full power and growl of the Range Rover’s supercharged 5.0 litre V8. An innovative Bluetooth-controlled ‘track mode’ button on the Overfinch key fob opens valves within the stainless steel system to reduce the silencing effect. The result is a soul-stirring snarl that gets more exhilarating the higher the engine revs.
So, not only does an Overfinch look like no other luxury SUV, it even sounds like no other. In a city where appearances are all-important, this sets the brand apart. As a destination and as a vehicle enhancer, Beverly Hills and Overfinch are two of a kind. Both set the standard by which luxury is defined. Both share an elite sensibility and an elegance that is truly unique.
Overfinch North America works with a network of dealers across the country to supply full conversions and Overfinch parts, including body styling, wheels and custom interiors. In Beverly Hills, the Overfinch experience extends to private viewings, vehicle demonstrations and sales appointments at your home or place of work. For more details or to arrange an appointment at your convenience, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 1-866-505-0411

“You will find more tourists on the north side of Wilshire Boulevard in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, but South Beverly Drive is for the locals. The whole street is teeming with mostly casual restaurants, but one of our favorites is Momed, which is so consistently good, we’ll even drive across town for it. The duck Shawarma, baleela, avocado hummus, lamb burger, pide flatbreads, Turkish latte, pastries – it’s all fantastic. Great spot for picnic provisions, too!” Zagat: 15 Neighborhood Gems in Los Angeles.
“The very best healthy Mediterranean menu anywhere! Never had a bad meal there and everyone we’ve taken has become a regular. The mushroom pide, chicken skewer and shrimp skewer are favorites and the sides are wonderful – especially the muhamarra. Also interesting wines. Truly love Momed!” Open table client review. These associates take pride in providing exceptional care and attention to the over 9,000 buyers who have selected Audi Beverly Hills as the home for their new, used, or Certified Pre-Owned Audi purchase, and the thousands more who have chosen to have their service needs met right here at their convenient Wilshire Boulevard service and parts center.
As the pride of the Fletcher Jones Family of Fine Dealerships – which spans from Honolulu to Chicago, with flagship stores for Mercedes Benz and Audi right here in Southern California – Audi Beverly Hills has also taken great care to integrate themselves into the fabric of their neighborhood.
Audi Beverly Hills stands out as the initial Business Sponsor of the Beverly Hills Education Foundation, contributing over $100,000 to our public education students and their families. These efforts have continued through a partnership with the Beverly Hills Unified School District, with Audi Beverly Hills providing summer work internships for interested high school students, as well as additional support for school and district activities. Through an ongoing dialogue with teachers and administrators, Audi Beverly Hills works to support the vision of educators and businesses working together toward common goals in student development opportunities into the future.
In typical Fletcher Jones fashion, Audi Beverly Hills offers their clients complimentary amenities that rival a 5 Star Hotel. These include a gourmet coffee bar with fresh pastries, new model Audi loaner cars, a shopping shuttle to your favorite Beverly Hills shopping boutique, and unlimited free car washes even when your Audi is not being serviced.
Audi Beverly Hills can be found at 8850 Wilshire Boulevard for sales, at 8833 Wilshire Boulevard for service and parts, via phone at (888) 732-6155, or at www.audibeverlyhills.com to browse their entire inventory online.
THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE
The “Golden Triangle” is known as the mecca of Beverly Hills with its borders — Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard and North Crescent Drive. It is here that you will find the luxurious shops and restaurants known around the world. Most famously, at the heart of the Golden Triangle, is Rodeo Drive. The most exclusive products and services in the world can be found at businesses along this world famous street.
With its sophisticated and exclusive atmosphere, the Golden Triangle draws many visitors each year from around the globe.
So it is no surprise that AllSaints — the premium London fashion house best known for its iconic leather jacket — chose an address on North Beverly Drive to locate its flagship store. Or that IWC added its second U.S. flagship store on Rodeo Drive. A flag- ship boutique on Rodeo Drive has been a longtime goal for IWC Schaffhausen since opening the first U.S. boutique in Beverly Hills in 2008.
SOUTH BEVERLY DRIVE
Just south of the Golden Triangle is the neighborhood of South Beverly Drive. Because of the relaxed environment of the neighborhood, visitors, locals and employees often flock here to enjoy a casual meal at one of the several eateries in between shopping at a few of the many boutiques.
One special place is Roque Gallery, at 189 S. Beverly Drive. Tour the gallery to see museum quality antiquities, antique and fine jewelry, rare coins, bank notes and ephemera. Whether you are a collector, a scholar, a designer, or just an investor, Roque Gallery has something for you.
South Beverly Drive offers an array of shopping, dining and pampering experiences to satisfy most any craving. This neighborhood is your one-stop- shop for a unique day on the town in the middle of a bustling city.
SOUTH ROBERTSON BLVD
For the residents who live in “The Flats” of Beverly Hills, South Robertson Boulevard means something entirely different than to those who relate Beverly Hills to the high-end name brands of Rodeo Drive or even the commercial flow of South Beverly Drive.
South Robertson is not only home to many residents, but also to many small, independently owned businesses. UDI Salon specializes in hair extensions, cuts and coloring. Dicker and Dicker of Beverly Hills features the highest quality fur fashions. The state of the art office of Dr. Silani of Beverly Hills Optometry, offers the community comprehensive eye care for the entire family.
With the largely residential area and slower paced environment, “The Flats” are the perfect place for businesses serving repeat customers.
LA CIENEGA’S RESTAURANT ROW
La Cienega Blvd. is on the edge of Beverly Hills and is the roadway between Wilshire Blvd. and Burton Way known as “Restaurant Row.” It is home to some of the most chic restaurants in all of Southern California.
The eclectic selection of restaurants that line Restaurant Row will leave you full and satisfied no matter what you’re craving. Whether you are in the mood for juicy prime rib from Lawry’s or
you want the exotic tastes of India at Spice Affair, look no further than Restaurant Row.
From afar, Beverly Hills might seem to be one large neighborhood. If you were to hover high above the city, you probably would not notice the diversity that makes it so unique. The intricate mosaic that includes villas on the hills, apartments in the flats, exquisite shops, and small personally operated businesses make this the world- renowned city it is. Put all of our neighborhoods together and you discover the real Beverly Hills.
Optometrix has graced the corner of Beverly Drive and Brighton Way for the past 25 years.
Dr. Zakheim, Dr. Lindsay Harris and associates, provide professional eyecare ranging from comprehensive eye examinations, the treatment of eye disease and the co-management of lasik and cataract surgeries.
Serving the Beverly Hills community, a high profile clientele and an international patient base, Optometrix offers an extensive collection of exclusive eyewear and contact lens services.
Brands such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Chrome Hearts, Oliver Peoples, Barton Perreira, Maybach and the newly released Shamballa EyeWear are among the collections presented.
Dr. Zakheim prides himself on successfully managing difficult to fit contact lens patients and he provides the Hollywood community with SPECIAL EFFECTS LENSES and custom made contact lenses for film, television and music videos.
Many insurance plans are accepted and same day service is often available.

With an exuberance and compassion that radiates from Dr. Foster, the owner of Sunset Walk-In Healthcare, he sets the standard of excellence in patient care. This has earned him a coveted Patient Choice Award, 2015 ranking in the top five medical offices in the area.
Dr. Foster’s compassion combined with his expertise gleaned from over 30 years of treating patients in the LA area makes him the provider of choice for patient and companies alike in Beverly Hills and surrounding area. He treats patients effectively, returning them to health efficiently and reducing time in treatment. This helps the patient and the company as well. One large hotel reported recently that since moving the medical care of employees to Dr. Foster, their lost time and days away from work was reduced from 900 days to 100 days respectively. This is a testament to the level of care and expertise clients and private patients alike can rely on with Dr. Foster.
After completing his residency and two-years of surgery training, Dr. Foster discovered while moon-lighting in an Urgent Care /Occupational Medicine setting that he had found his true medical calling. He has devoted his entire career to the Occupational Medicine/ Urgent Care combination, earning him a reputation as one of the best in Los Angeles.
Sunset Walk-In Healthcare total service lines include urgent care, injury treatment, travel medicine, fit testing, vaccines, physical examination and alcohol and drug testing. Dr. Foster is accepting new patients.
The Obagi Skin Health Institute on Canon Drive seems like the epicenter of cosmetic dermatology. For people in Beverly Hills and for physicians around the world, it’s the go-to place for the newest products and treatments for skin restoration
Even in the 1980s, Dr. Zein Obagi was a stand-out in dermatology. His mission: enable everyone to enjoy healthy, younger-looking skin. Just one man—changing the way that dermatologists and plastic surgeons understand and treat aging skin? That’s one very lofty goal. It’sthe kind of challenge that Dr. Zein Obagi likes. He’s well-known and respected for standing apart and ahead in the world of anti-aging skincare.
First Dr. Obagi defined the concept of Skin Health, and in so doing redefined the way that dermatolo- gists and plastic surgeons thought about treating skin. Using five basic principles—healthy skin should be smooth, firm, tight, even-toned, and free of disease, he began developing products and treatments that rejuvenate skin at the cellular level. Most doctors were recommending products that worked on the surface of the skin, so treating skin at a deeper level was a game-changer in skincare.
Instead of recommending moisturizers that just feel and smell good, he developed products that worked harder and deeper to strengthen the skin, accelerate cellular turnover and regenerate baby-like skin.
His products and methodologies established a new gold standard in skincare.
Physicians and patients alike saw the results. The line of products that he helped to develop became the #1 brand dispensed by physicians, worldwide. He traveled the world over lecturing to physicians, conducting seminars and training medical professionals, preaching the doctrine of skin health.
Instead of being satisfied with his original line of Obagi products, in 2007 he one-upped his own game and developed a new, second generation of anti-aging skincare. ZO Skin Health is now the fastest growing brand of professional skincare for the treatment and maintenance of healthy skin. Becoming the world’s best-known dermatologist could have been his legacy. But for Dr. Obagi, the story is not over yet. It’s just the beginning. Today he and his team of dermatologists and plastic surgeons work at the Obagi Skin Health Institute practicing what Dr. Obagi has always preached. Everyone, everywhere can enjoy healthy skin.
The real estate market in Beverly Hills fluctuates month to month. Given this spectacular change in the marketplace, it’s critical to work with the most up-to-the-minute information when buying or pricing any real estate. Numbers more than a week or two old can mean setting unrealistic goals or, worse yet, leaving money on the table. That’s why all my clients receive my Premiere Market Service; a weekly report that captures all the relevant housing statistics in an easy-to-read format. But I don’t stop there. I help my clients interpret the data to find the best opportunities in their target area, at the best price. Working as an informed team, we can pull off miracles!
Real estate is one of our most valuable assets, making buying and selling it a potentially stressful experience. I’ve built my reputation for the past decade on honesty, integrity and, most importantly, a genuine care for my clients. My goal is to make every transaction a stress-free win-win. In fact, nothing satisfies me more than seeing the smile on your face after a successful deal is done!

She is a published author, former ABC news anchor, wife of an army officer and winner of Mrs. Texas in 2007—an ambassador for Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, volunteer for Beverly Hills PTA, all on top of being the founder of her own real estate service company, Real Estate Concierge.

over the world. In partnership with Global Mobility Solutions, individuals from all over flock to California with the help of this Beverly Hills-based company. Megan Zucaro is the Suze Orman of Real Estate.
The business was born out of Megan’s experience as an army wife, having to move eight times in five years. Over time, Megan was able to get the moving process down to a science, and can now lend her knowledge and reliability to others in need.
A one stop shop for everything needed during relocation, Real Estate Concierge is the go-to agency for local LA people to celebrities who need a trustworthy and experienced ally who can take care of all the necessary details of moving.
These details include chefs, nannies, house sitters, security, packing, private transportation and financial services, to name only a few. Any request or need, no matter how large, can be tackled by Megan and her team.
Together, they form a unit built specifically to handle the issues that their unique clientele might face, with 50 years of combined experience in real estate, finance and investment between them.
Recently, Megan and her associates have been offering simple step-by-step guides to financial management and home buying on their website, and most importantly they have begun an educational program to help veterans transition into homes after their service.
Real Estate Concierge is a vibrant force in the Beverly Hills community, ensuring that those who relocate to the area can do so with as little disruption to their normal lifestyles as possible. Megan and her team take care of every step of the process no matter the size so that their clients can focus on the important things in life.
Real Estate Concierge will continue to act as Beverly Hills’ best all-service relocation managers for many years to come.

Oil Production has been part of Beverly Hills’ heritage since 1900. Venoco has been safely operating during the modern era of that history for the past 20 years, and looks forward to continuing its operations for some time. We are proud of our reputation as a safe and reliable operator, community partner, and significant economic contributor to the City of Beverly Hills, the Beverly Hills Unified School District and hundreds of residents who own mineral rights. In fact, our operations in Beverly Hills have been recognized by the State regulatory agency overseeing oil and gas operations (Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resource) as the recipient of one of only six coveted safety awards distributed throughout the State! We take our unique location within the city seriously.
Venoco’s oil production from the Beverly Hills lease has resulted in over $32 million of royalty payments in the past 10 years. Royalties are used by the City of Beverly Hills for many things including public safety equipment and parks and recreation improvements while the royalties for the Beverly Hills School District are used for teacher salaries, learning resources, and school site maintenance. Additionally, royalties are also paid to hundreds of Beverly Hills residents who own mineral rights.
Venoco is eager to partner with Beverly Hills in supporting youth, education and this beautiful community while we strive to continue to safely and responsibly produce domestic oil and natural gas for
California’s expanding energy needs, helping to keep
imported crude away from California shores. As you begin to hear conversations about Venoco’s lease extension efforts, show your support by speaking up in favor. We need your help, too. Let’s work together to strengthen the community!

Wally’s Beverly Hills has quickly become a centerpiece of good taste in one of the world’s most acclaimed shopping and dining cities. A perfect example is Wally’s extensive collection of truffle products – you’ll find over 100! – and, when in season, the biggest and best selection of fresh truffles in the country. The year-round fresh caviar lineup is astounding, and the seemingly limitless cheese department is always fully-staffed with knowledgeable cheesemongers who are happy to slice you samples. Specialty meats, olive oils, chocolates, breads, crackers and an intriguing array of gourmet treats will also vie for your attention and challenge your willpower!
In addition to its fine selection of displays, feel free to select the perfect gift for that special someone-with themed gift baskets available for every taste-be it beer, wine, gourmet food, champagne, or your own custom concoction. Gifts are available for both him and her, including Wally’s gift cards! Whether it’s luxury, last-minute, or corporate gifts for the entire office, Wally’s Beverly Hills has got you covered.
Having built its reputation by introducing the finest wine and spirits to Los Angeles in the 1960s, Wally’s new Beverly Hills location provides an important stage to showcase the rarities it obtains as never before. Wall-to-wall wine displays and a marble-floored spirits room, adjacent to a special temperature- controlled wine vault loaded with ‘trophy’ wines from around the globe make visiting Wally’s Beverly Hills an exciting adventure for œnophiles and everyday wine drinkers alike.
The restaurant scene at Wally’s Beverly Hills is unique, anchored by a full bar that serves over 100 wines by the glass and communal seating that sparks impromptu conversations, fun encounters and, in many cases, the establishment of new friendships. The menu changes as the day progresses, ranging from lunch, to dinner, to late night choices. Executive Chef David Féau has received critical acclaim for several of his specialty dishes, all pairing well with our sumptuous wines. Wally’s Beverly Hills is open until 2am, making it just about the only late- night spot in Beverly Hills.
Weekends are a fine time to take advantage of the Wally’s experience: Sunday Brunch has quickly become a key gathering place, while Saturdays are often highlighted with regular tasting events, be they wine, liquor or specialty foods – or a combination thereof. An intimate private dining room in the back of the store is often the venue of unique winemaker dinners and is also available for private events.
Another plus: two hours free public parking right next door. See you soon!
